Claude Overlay is a frameless, always-on-top chat window for Claude Code that stays visible over your workspace. You can summon it with a simple hotkey to ask questions about whatever you are working on, and it will capture and read your monitors to provide context-aware answers. It runs the full Claude Code agent on your personal subscription without needing an API key, allowing it to actively edit files and run terminal commands. This tool is open source, licensed under MIT, and currently available for Windows users.
